ABSTRACT
The seminar is aimed to provide participants with mathematical and computational fundamentals of polygonal numbers.
The seminar outline is the following:
1. get familiar with basic concepts of polygonal numbers as a mathematical phenomenon that demonstrates integration of algebra, geometry and algorithmization;
2. highlight author’s obtained relations among flat polygonal numbers and their properties as algebraic systems;
3. cover computational features of polygonal numbers via computer modeling and explorations in terms of their role in computer science education.
