RACS 2026 – Recent Advances in Computer-aided Spectroscopy is a workshop focused on the newest developments in computational spectroscopy, bringing together researchers working at the intersection of theory, simulation, and experiment.
The event will provide a platform to discuss recent breakthroughs, current challenges, and future perspectives in the field through cutting-edge talks, invited speakers, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities over three inspiring days.
Date: June 8–11, 2026
Venue: Complesso San Geminiano, Modena
Building on the success of the previous edition held at Aalto University in 2024, RACS 2026 expands its scope through the participation of the EUSpecLab consortium. The scientific program will cover topics including highly accurate electronic-structure methods, high-throughput spectrum generation and materials screening, machine learning for spectroscopy, structure inference from spectral data, combined experimental–theoretical approaches, and applications to functional materials such as catalysts, energy storage systems, and quantum materials.
The workshop is organized with the contribution of Psi-k Network, CECAM-IT-SIMUL, EUSpecLab, Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, CNR-NANO Istituto Nanoscienze del Cnr, and MaX Centre of Excellence for Materials at the eXascale.
