An introduction to spectral sequences and their computation

Description: Spectral sequences are a technical tool to construct or understand complex relations in algebraic topology. They have a reputation for being a difficult subject, mainly due to heavy book-keeping in their notation. In this lecture, I will present examples to convey the intuition behind the notion of spectral sequence. Time permitting, I will introduce a general method for the computation of spectral sequences.
