Map and directions
Department of Physics, Informatics and Mathematics is in the University Campus of "Via Giuseppe Campi", between the Hospital "Policlinico" and "Enzo Ferrari - Department of Engineering". The department is located on the right side of "Strada Vignolese" towards the center of Modena.
The staff members and the activities of the Department are on two buildings: "Fisica" (Via Campi 213/A) and "Matematica" (Via Campi 213/B) that are situated in the center of the Campus.
You can reach the Department:
BY PLANE: Bologna Airport (BLQ) is approximately 40 km from the Department . From BLQ you can either take a taxi or a bus for the Bologna railway station where you will have to take a train to Modena. You can then follow the directions from the Modena railway station described in the following section.
Another option is to take the AERBUS shuttle service that connects Bologna Airport to Modena. You have to get off at "Via Vignolese": you are arrived at one entry of the Univeristy Campus!
BY TRAIN: Check the train schedule at www.trenitalia.com. Once you reach the Modena railway station you can reach the Department by taxy or by bus as described in the next section.
BY BUS: If you are at the Modena coach station or at Modena railway station you can reach the Department by using one of the following bus options:
No. 7 (final destination Gottardi): Bus stop at: "Campi-Universitą"
No. 4 (final destination Latina): Bus stop at: "via Vignolese angolo via Campi",
No. 9 or 9A (final destination Gottardi): Bus stop at: "Gottardi" will stop in the parking located in front of the Department of Engineering (about 200 meters far from us)
BY CAR: Take the Modena-Sud exit from the A1 motorway. After the toll gate take the right towards "Strada Vignolese" and keep going on "Strada Vignolese" for approximately 10 km. At the big roundabout with a Grape of Wine on the center, take the second exit. Continuing on "via Vignolese" and at the first light turn on the right in "via Giuseppe Campi". The campus entry is at about 100 meters on the right!
